UPDATE: Next Whiteboard meeting

Tuesday 27 September, 1.30pm-3.00pm

Published:

The next Whiteboard session will take place on Tuesday 27 September from 1.30pm to 3.00pm, in the basement meeting rooms at the Empire House.

Two colleagues will present their respective applications under development:

  • Dr Miguel Branco, Reader in Genome Regulation at the Centre for Genomics and Child Health, Blizard Institute, will present his research grant project titled “Regulatory roles of transposable elements in endometrial gland function” for which funder and scheme are not determined yet.
  • Dr Suthesh Sivapalaratnam, Consultant in Haemostasis and Thrombosis, Honorary Senior Lecturer at Barts NHS Trust, will present his research project titled “Application of artificial intelligence in haematology” to be submitted to the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowships scheme.

A Questions & Answers session will follow each presentation, giving attendees an opportunity to interact with the speakers around their respective proposals.

Although topics might not fall directly within your area of expertise or study, we encourage you to attend this Whiteboard meeting as the principles of grant writing and experimental design are largely transferrable.

We look forward to meeting many of you.
