3.00pm-4.30pm - Basement meeting rooms, Empire House
The next Whiteboard session will take place on Thursday 11 August 2022 from 3.00pm to 4.30pm, in the basement meeting rooms at the Empire House.
Two colleagues will present their respective UKRI BBSR Standard Research Grant and MRC Neurosciences and Mental Health applications under development:
Dr Matthew Caley, Lecturer in Cell Biology at the Blizard Institute, will present his BBSR Standard Research Grant project entitled “3D skin immunocompetent model to investigate skin structural changes & skin-resident immunity” for a submission in end-September,
Dr Chris Uff, Honorary senior lecturer at the Blizard Institute and Consultant Neurosurgeon and Head of Neurotrauma at Barts Health NHS Trust, and Dr Ping Yip, Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience at the Blizard Institute, will both present their MRC Neurosciences and Mental Health project entitled “Severe Head Injury Brain Analysis (SHIBA)” for a submission in end-September.
A Questions & Answers session will follow each presentation, giving the attendees an opportunity to interact with both speakers around their respective proposals.
Although the topic might not fall directly within your area of expertise or study, we encourage you to attend this Whiteboard meeting as the principles of grant writing and experimental design are largely transferrable.
