The recent staff survey, completed by 64% of staff in the Blizard, gives us important information to deliver actions that will improve everyone’s experience in our Institute.
We are now looking for volunteers to be part of a new Blizard Staff Survey Working Group who will enable us to work together to deliver and evolve our action plan in response to the survey results. We’re looking for staff across all career families, roles and grades, so I would encourage anyone who is interested to get involved. The time commitment would be about three meetings per year, with the first meeting in March or April.
Our actions in response to the survey will first be focused on where we have performed comparatively less well to Queen Mary as a whole. We will also be considering closely the points on which Queen Mary has suggested we direct our focus.
Part of our planning will also involve working together to improve the participation rate in future surveys so that everyone has had their voice heard.
If you would like to be part of the Working Group, please reach out to me at n.mccloskey@qmul.ac.uk by Friday 24 February.
