We provide opportunities for our students to engage with entrepreneurship via extra-curricular activities. Learn more about the process of creating a successful start-up and enhancing your network.
In addition to our curriculum, we provide opportunities for students to engage with entrepreneurship via events, workshops and discussion forums, including the 'find your founder' event and SBM entrepreneurship workshop. Current students can keep up to date with events via email and QMPlus.
Competing in enterprise challenges is a great way to meet like-minded people, find inspiration, and develop your entrepreneurial knowledge and skill in a fun way. These are invaluable experiences that can help your personal and professional growth.
“After receiving positive comments from Dr Joanne Zhang about our business idea, which was developed out of a group assignment for our Strategic Entrepreneurship module, Adam and I decided to enter the Mayor’s Entrepreneur Competition. Signing up for the competition and attending the online sessions helped us to further develop our business idea. This helped us to advance to the semi-finals. As semi-finalists we attended sessions to get additional training and tips on pitching our idea. Although we did not advance as finalists in the competition, making the semi-final was a huge accomplishment for both of us!"
