Biography:

Patrick was previously Head of Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour at the University of Greenwich and has several years of experience of management education for corporate clients across multiple sectors in the UK and Germany.

At QMUL, Patrick teaches various modules concerned with leadership and management practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Patrick has a PhD from the London School of Economics, and holds a Dipl. Betriebswirt, BA Hons, MA and PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).

Patrick is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE).

Public Engagement

Patrick has served as external examiner for the BA Business Management and the OTH Regensburg partnership at Oxford Brookes University and the HRM Subject Group at University of East London. He served as an appointed member of the Mayor of London’s Skills for Londoners Stakeholder Advisory Group from 2017 to 2018 and currently serves as a member of the Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Committee of the Chartered Association of Business Schools.

Scholarly Contributions

Patrick is currently leading the BSc Business Management transformation project, which looks at curriculum improvement and increased attainment and engagement for students. He has previously worked on the creation of the BSc Business Management (Social Change) which is the School of Business and Management's Degree Apprenticeship Programme. This was one of the first Degree Apprenticeship programmes to run at Queen Mary.
