Tell us a bit about your business

Inforens leverages the lived experiences of international students at university to help prospective students, providing independent and real time advice. We find personalised matches between Current students and prospective students to make overseas admissions easier. Inforens was launched on 14th Feb 2022 and has already consulted more than 5000 students.

Motivations to start your business

While applying for a Masters degree, I first turned to education counsellors in the city and online but soon realised the advice and university recommendations they were giving are very generic. I was lucky to find acquaintances who guided me through the process and made me realise that to get into top universities only grades weren’t enough but rather they needed to see the passion, visions, and future plans of the student applying for the program. Thus, Inforens was born out of our personal struggle to understand the application system abroad.

What are your goals or next steps

Our goal is to make a complete unbiased student platform for international students who are often confused about the courses and universities and struggling to get complete transparency.

Advice/tips for future entrepreneurs

Never be the smartest person in the room, learn something from every person you encounter. Look for the right people that can be your co-founders or team members. You’ve succeeded when your business is growing without you.
