Dr Natalie Corthesy (Commercial Law PhD, 2019) explains why she decided to get involved with the Chapter.
Why did you decide to get involved with the CCLS Caribbean Chapter?
Pursuing my PhD studies at CCLS has exponentially improved my life, professionally and personally. It was an intense teaching and learning experience under the supervision of extraordinary academics. I am eager to stay connected to my CCLS network and I am committed to mentoring others interested in pursuing gradate research to choose CCLS as the best place to study.
What do you think the importance of the Caribbean Chapter is?
The Caribbean Chapter is an effective networking platform for CCLS alumni from the region and persons wishing to find out more about them. It provides an international focal point for highlighting the academic and professional accomplishments of legal professionals from the Caribbean who benefited from studying at CCLS.
How do you hope the Chapter will benefit alumni who join?
The Chapter has the potential to play a pivotal role in fostering sustained support for the development and promotion of advanced legal research, study and continuing professional legal education at CCLS and in the region. It will afford alumni quick access to information on professional legal events, and course offerings provided by CCLS and partner global institutions, such as The University of the West Indies.
