The purpose of the CCLS China Chapter is to create a CCLS community in China organised by alumni, for alumni. The group will facilitate professional networking and socialising opportunities, bringing together alumni from different years and specialisms together.
The Co-Chairs of the China Chapter Committee are Miss Zhirou Li (Law and Economics LLM, 2020) and Ms Minfei Xu (Phoebe) (International Business Law LLM, 2016). You can meet the committee members at regular Chapter events.
Dr Bernard Schneider, (Senior Lecturer in International Tax Law) serves as the CCLS Academic Lead for the CCLS China Chapter.
Please help encourage more CCLS alumni and students from China to join the WeChat group by inviting them to the group. If you are an alumnus or student and don’t know anyone who is already on the WeChat group, please contact ccls-alumni@qmul.ac.uk
When you join WeChat, please give your full name, year of graduation, LLM/MSc programme studied and your WeChat ID.
A welcome event took place on Zoom to formally launch the group on 20 May 2021. You can watch the recording of the CCLS China chapter launch event.
Chapter events organised by the committee are advertised on the Alumni Events page. Updates on recent events which have taken place can be accessed from the past event listings.
CCLS is hosting a networking event for postgraduate Chinese Students and Alumni in March .
CCLS is intimately tied to its international alumni network, and the Chinese alumni have always had a tradition of helping each other. I was very excited about the recent launch of the China Chapter, because it means that CCLS alumni will have a home in China. Graduation is not the end of our stories at CCLS, but the beginning of a new chapter. I hope you will join the CCLS China Chapter!— Zhirou Li , Law and Economics LLM, 2020
