International Dispute Resolution

The Distance Learning (IDR) Chapter is for students and alumni who studied International Dispute Resolution (formerly known as International Commercial Arbitration) via the Distance Learning programme.

The Chapter exists to create a community for alumni which will support professional networking opportunities and social activities. This will be created by bringing together alumni who studied via Distance Learning from across different year groups.

Also the Chapter aims to promote research in all forms of international dispute resolution and publish such results as well as disseminate knowledge gained by members through their work in all forms of dispute resolution.

The Chapter is run by a Committee: if you would like to get involved, please contact us. Ms Norah Gallagher, (Reader and Jean Monnet Chair) serves as the CCLS Academic Lead for the DL International Dispute Resolution Chapter.

The Chapter was launched on Tuesday 9 February 2020: Professor Ian Walden, Norah Gallagher, Dr Remy Gerbay and chapter committee members hosted an online event via Zoom.

Over the coming months, further information will be shared about future activities which are also likely to be online initially. Chapter events which the committee is organising are advertised on the CCLS Alumni Events page.

Come and join the CCLS Distance Learning Chapter (IDR). It is exciting for DL alumni and students to be able to stay connected and be kept up-to-date, whilst sharing experiences of different developments in law. You will find a unique experience by joining virtual meetings with global members.
