Today, on India's Constitution Day, the CCLS India Chapter has officially launched with an online welcome event hosted by Professor Ian Walden. Joining 95 attendees was the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Mr Dipak Misra, who inaugurated the Chapter, as well as Abhijit Mukhopadhyay (Hinduja Group, President (Legal) & General Counsel, Member of CCLS Advisory Council) and Chapter Chair Ajit Mishra, along with the Chapter Committee members.
Ian said: “What a wonderful event we had! We were honoured to have the presence of Mr Dipak Misra which made the event more memorable, particularly on India’s Constitution Day.”
Alumni were invited to share what they are doing now and enjoyed reminiscing about their experiences at CCLS.
Ajit said “I am glad that we have launched the CCLS India Chapter which is the first of its kind in India. The inaugural welcome event was very well attended and the sense of pride and ownership of the network among all members was apparent. The event was particularly special with Mr Dipak Misra giving his wisdom and encouragement for the future of the Chapter”.
Tinaz Kalyanvala (Comparative and International Dispute Resolution LLM, 2020) fed back: "Today was truly a great event! Even though I could not stay until the end, I am glad to be associated with CCLS and particularly the India Chapter and I look forward to our future association as well!"
Akanksha Apte (Technology, Media and Telecommunication LLM, 2020) shared: "Thank you for organising the CCLS India Chapter. I am excited to be a part of the alumni group of CCLS, the institution which gave me so much, on academic, professional as well as personal fronts.
I am looking forward to many more interactions and engagements with you all, my fellow Indians and the institution."
Thank you for attending and we look forward to holding more events for alumni based in India.
