In the course of carrying out an LLM (which, back in 1996-1997 was inter-collegiate), I took two courses from CCLS with Professor Lastra: ‘Regulation of financial markets’ and ‘Law of finance and foreign Investment in emerging economies’, which turned out to be very influential in my decision to continue my academic studies by obtaining a Ph.D. in that area. This experience also marked my professional development by setting me into a path for a career in banking regulation. As a result, I am grateful for my time there and I consider the CCLS as one of my ‘alma mater’ universities.
