Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal organised, along with alumni, Juan Aguirre and Brian Burstein, an event for QMUL alumni from Argentina
Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal, Chair in Banking and Finance Law, organised, along with alumni Juan Aguirre (Energy and Natural Resources Law LLM 2018) and Brian Burstein (Energy and Natural Resources Law LLM 2019), an event for QMUL alumni from Argentina. More than twenty participants from different disciplines joined the webinar. The main idea was to bring all alumni together and explore possible ideas to maintain channels of communication despite the current situation.
Agustin Spotorno (Comparative and International Dispute Resolution LLM 2018) noted that “in these uncertain times we ought to stay connected more than ever” while Guido Demarco (Banking and Finance Law LLM 2017) said that “it was an amazing reunion that showed us the impact Queen Mary University of London has around the world”.
Law graduates are exploring the idea of organizing an open webinar event where alumni, joined by Prof Olivares-Caminal, will deliver a series of open lectures co-organized by local universities and QMUL. CCLS hopes to build brand awareness among Argentine students and graduates.
