The event brought together mentors and mentees, providing a platform for them to establish connections and build relationships. The launch event was a testament to the commitment and dedication of the mentors involved, highlighting the significance of mentorship in nurturing student success.

During the event, mentors and mentees had the opportunity to engage in discussions, share experiences, and set goals for their mentoring partnerships. It was a space where mentors could showcase their expertise and offer guidance, while mentees could seek advice and gain insights from professionals in their chosen fields. The launch event was a crucial stepping stone for the development of strong, supportive relationships between mentees and mentors, with many alumni returning as mentors.

Aanchul Lalla, a Commercial and Corporate Law LLM student, emphasised the programme's significant impact on her personal and professional development:

Aanchul Lalla“Being a part of CCLS has played a critical part in my overall growth as an individual and lawyer while studying in the UK. While being an LLM student, it is important to optimally utilise every opportunity that comes my way. The mentorship programme conducted by CCLS immediately caught my interest and I went on to apply for it. Fortunately, I was chosen and was assigned an incredible mentor through the university. My mentor is a law firm partner at a globally present firm in London. His presence as an absolute support, providing unwavering guidance for job applications. Helping me face interviews by conducting gruelling mock ones was highly motivating.  I'd most definitely encourage every student to apply for this programme as it will benefit them.”

The mentorship programme facilitates networking opportunities and provides mentees with access to experienced professionals who can guide them in navigating their desired career path.

As we move forward with the mentoring programme, we are deeply grateful to our mentors, especially alumni, for their invaluable contributions. If you would like to get involved with future programmes, contact the PG Law Careers team on pglawcareers@qmul.ac.uk.
