Congratulations to our recent School of Law Graduates!
We would like to extend our congratulations to the most recent cohort of our students and new alumni who graduated on 26th April. Here is a little selection of messages from a few of them:
Dr Darya Shirokova (Laws PhD, 2023; University of Paris I: Patheon-Sorbonne, International Economic Law LLM, 2011): “Today was a very important day - the end of my PhD journey. I’m infinitely grateful to people who believed in me: Yas Banifatemi (Lecturer at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) and Barton Legum who gave me recommendations for entering the program, my supervisors Norah Gallagher (Academic Director, Energy Law Institute QMUL) and Professor Loukas Mistelis (QMUL Clive M Schmitthoff Professor of Transnational Commercial Law and Arbitration) who supported me through all these years and my wonderful husband Tony Toma without whom none of this would have been possible”.
Makhir Aliev (Intellectual Property LLM, 2023): “I am delighted to announce that I officially graduated from the Queen Mary University with a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Intellectual Property Law with Merit. I am so grateful to all my friends and family that supported me along this journey. Thanks to professors and QMUL that helped me to discover and develop so many aspects related to IP Law. Proud to be a part of QMUL Alumni! I am so excited to be done and to begin a new chapter of my life. Looking forward to future adventures!”
Catherine Anderson (Technology, Media and Telecommunication Law LLM, 2022 and Laws LLB, 2021): “Good day this week, going back to Queen Mary to attend my Masters Graduation Ceremony (LLM in Technology, Media and Telecoms) and collect my free tote bag and key ring! Worth every penny! Question now is - which subject for next time!”
