International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL) is a world-wide federation of national associations of accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency, with over 12,000 members.

Marcos D’Alessandro (Laws LLM, 2023) gives more details about the article in his recent post on LinkedIn: “I am very happy to share my latest article ‘Argentina’s Sovereign Debt Challenges - A Brief Overview’, published in the quarterly journal of INSOL International (2nd quarter 2024).

Here, I briefly revisit Argentina’s past relationship with its sovereign debt in an effort to clarify what scenario the new incumbent administration receives from its predecessors, and what changes and challenges can external and internal stakeholders expect.

A very heartfelt thanks to Patricia Cervantes, (Laws LLM, 2023) who reached out to me to write on a topic that I’m passionate about: my country’s relationship with its finances and the legal implications its actions as a Sovereign create. I hope you enjoy the read and look forward to your comments.

I am also very proud to share this issue with a personal friend of mine, José Carlos Rodríguez-Montoya C., (Banking, Corporate, Finance and Securities Law LLM, 2023) whom I met through the legal profession and to whom I am forever grateful for his always wise words. Congratulations on your article, Joseca!”
