José Antonio is a Senior Associate at Galicia Abogados S.C. México, in the field of Civil and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration. He acts as a representative and counsel of major domestic and foreign companies in arbitration proceedings involving construction, energy, oil & gas contracts, corporate disputes, among others. He is also a professor of civil and commercial procedures at Universidad Panamericana, Mexico.
I have focused my career on civil and commercial litigation and arbitration. CCLS is one of the most prestigious commercial law centres in London, which provides its students the most solid technical and practical grounds to solve domestic and international disputes. For those seeking to improve their techniques to solve clients’ disputes, CCLS is the best option.
As an international student, listening to CCLS's outstanding professors, such as Professor Stavros Brekoulakis and Professor Maxi Scherer, explaining complex international cases in such a simple and sophisticated fashion. Discussions with my colleagues on the same course would continue in the nearest pub.
Being a CCLS alumnus means being part of one of the most important commercial law studies centres in the world. I am very happy and proud to say that I studied at CCLS, and to have met my fellow classmates, who are incredibly talented attorneys and amazing people.
CCLS furthered my career enormously. As a lawyer who focuses on domestic procedures, CCLS provided me a new perspective on international disputes and techniques to solve highly complex disputes, which I use on a daily basis.
I think QMUL’s reputation and its essentially international scope makes CCLS one of the best law schools in the world, joining a community of international lawyers of the highest prestige. Furthermore, as CCLS LLM courses are taught to students around the globe, they are designed to transfer principles to the students, which they will be able to apply on their daily operations.
