Juan completed his LLM with a specialisation in Legal Theory and now he works as a Researcher at the Inter-American Academy of Human Rights, in the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, in México. He focuses on Legal Theory and Comparative Constitutional Law.
I chose QMUL because after looking into several options I found that it was one of the best places to study a LLM in London. Its wide range of legal specialisations makes it a great opportunity to focus on areas that cannot be found elsewhere. Also, for the speciality I was looking for - Legal Theory, it definitely was a very valuable opportunity.
I recall some of my lectures at CCLS as some of the best moments of my academic training. Taking a course with world-class experts in their respective fields is undoubtedly an experience I will never forget. Also, researching in some of the best libraries in London that the University provides access to is one of the most enjoyable things you can experience as a student. The library at Senate House is one of the most impressive in London and the study moments I spent there I still remember with great fondness.
It means being part of a vibrant community of professionals in their respective fields who, through their work, influence the legal world. Being part of CCLS means being confident that you have acquired quality skills from legal professionals who are leaders in their areas of expertise, and having gone through it is a guarantee that you have the tools to be a decision-maker with influence in the environment in which you will be working after your training.
My time at CCLS definitely gave me learning tools that I appreciate every day. The analytical skills that students develop during their classes, the inclusive learning environment, and the experience of the teaching staff are valuable contributions that have influenced my career from then until now. Furthermore, sharing the learning spaces with students from all over the world allows you to acquire perspectives that undoubtedly enhance your learning.
I think they would benefit from advantages that they would not find elsewhere. On the one hand, it represents a valuable opportunity to further their knowledge of areas of law in which they are interested, that at CCLS they would do so with the help of outstanding experts. On the other hand, it represents a rewarding opportunity for legal professionals to add value to their careers. Studying at QMUL is a unique opportunity with priceless benefits for anyone seeking high-quality instruction in one of the world's most challenging legal environments.
