Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou graduated with a Computer and Communications Law LLM in 2010, and is now Co-Founder and General Partner of Velocity.Partners Venture Capital.
CCLS was one of the very few forward-thinking institutions that offered an LLM Program for the Internet Economy in the late 00s. Personally, I was intrigued as a recent law graduate to emphasize more on the then up and coming Internet wave and what this could mean for the future of business and commercial litigation. So, I thought that an LLM at CCLS would be an excellent way to emphasize more on the intersection of my two biggest passions - Technology and the Law.
Favourite memory. Me going around the different University libraries and sections to research for my thesis. The library, being a quiet place, is in my view a brain spa, an excellent opportunity to gather and prioritize your thoughts and next actions.
To have access to a world-class community and network of professionals and industry experts, as well as being able to learn from tier one professors and faculty members, while creating life-lasting connections with peers and friends.
I believe my time at CCLS gave me the underlining logic, structure and knowledge I use today as a professional venture capitalist & tech entrepreneur. From structuring a deal, to negotiating and avoiding pitfalls - my LLM is the cornerstone of my professional career, today.
CCLS helps you shape a global perspective and understanding of Commercial Law. Together with its international community of students and faculty, CCLS embodies diversity and creates the perfect environment of personal and professional acceleration for any prospective student.
