Dr Andromachi Georgosouli was invited to act as one of the keynote speakers at the European Conference of the International Energy Credit Association (IECA). The Conference was held in Madrid on the 18 of June and Dr Georgosouli spoke about ‘The Future of Shadow Banking Regulation in EU’. She noted that the Commission’s Green Paper on the regulation of shadow banking is part of a broader program to strengthen financial supervision and regulation in Europe in the aftermath of the recent financial crisis and she considered some of the practical implications of this development to the industry.
