Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal and Dr Costanza Russo - Banking Law Symposium: Who Wants Big Banks?

Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal is co-organising the 'Banking Law Symposium: Who Wants Big Banks?' event to be held at the University of Ottawa in Canada on 26-27 June 2013. 

The Banking Law Symposium aims to foster a dialogue on important public policy issues affecting the financial services industry and brings together well-known academics, policymakers and practitioners.

Professor Olivares-Caminal is one of the discussants on Panel 1: Are there steps that national authorities can take to limit the extent to which the liabilities of the banks are implicit contingent liabilities of the state? and will chair Panel 2: Untying the Gordian Knot – Costs and Benefits of Current Financial Regulation.

Dr Costanza Russo, Leverhulme Lecturer in Banking Law at Queen Mary is to chair the panel on “Competition Law and other mechanisms for curbing moral hazard”.
