Omolola Agbaje-Williams, an LLM student in Intellectual Property Law at Queen Mary, was the recent recipient of a scholarship from the International Bar Association following her winning application in the Intellectual Property and Technology Section.
Her scholarship includes a waived registration fee to attend the IBA Annual Conference in Tokyo, contributions towards travel and accommodation, two years' free membership with IBA and either a waived registration fee to attend the 2015 IBA Annual Conference or to attend a speciality conference sponsored by any committee within the awarding LPD section.
Omolola credits her success in the application process to the the teaching at Queen Mary. Her essay was focused upon the alternatives to statutory rights as well as data privacy rules in a corporate setting:
