Dr Yong Q Han is a Visiting Scholar from 1 September to 1 October 2014 at the Institute of Insurance Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London.
Dr Han’s home institution is the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore, where he works as a Post-Doctoral Fellow (since 1 August 2014). He received his doctorate degree in law at the University of Aberdeen in Nov 2013. His post-doctoral research is intended to augment parts of his PhD thesis into a monograph focusing on the possible prospect, in English insurance law, of the doctrine of policyholder’s reasonable expectations. The purpose of his visit to QMUL is to work under the advice of Professor Philip Rawlings and other researchers on the draft of an article on how the doctrine was (or not really was) used in English insurance law and to finalize a book draft for the intended monograph.
