Dr Noam Shemtov to co-chair Fashion and IP Seminar held by Wragge Lawrence Graham and Co

Dr Noam Shemtov, Senior Lecturer in Intellectual Property and Technology Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) at Queen Mary University of London, is to co-chair a Fashion & IP Seminar with Alexandra Brodie, Partner at Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co on 12 March 2015. The event is organised by Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co and will take place at their offices in Waterhouse Square, London.

The seminar aims to discuss the issues arising from 'a spate of recent high-profile decisions in the G-Star/Voi, Rihanna/Topshop, Thomas Pink/Victoria's Secret, Jack Wills/House of Fraser and Superdry/Animal cases.'

Dr Shemtov will be joined by a host of other IP specialists including:

  • Jacqueline Reid, barrister from 11 South Square who has represented Jimmy Choo before the UK courts
  • Dr Thomas Farkas, associate at Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co's Munich office, as well as Visiting Lecturer at QMUL and ex-in house counsel at Tommy Hilfiger
  • Alice Stagg, Senior Associate from Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co's London office with extensive IP licensing expertise dealing with clients such as Hasbro
  • Amarjit Purewal, Marks & Spencer, who is responsible for M&S' IP strategy and portfolio and most recently running the Interflora litigation.
