An article by Professor Rafael Leal-Arcas has been cited by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in their IPCC 5th Assessment Report. In his article, “Alternative Architecture for Climate Change: Major Economies”, Professor Leal-Arcas pioneers links between trade and climate change as well as effective ways to design an alternative architecture for climate change mitigation.
The IPCC is a scientific intergovernmental body under the auspices of the United Nations, set up at the request of member governments. The IPCC produces reports that support the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which is the main international treaty on climate change.
