Queen Mary's Professor Maxi Scherer has received the Global Arbitration Review's award for best lecture or speech for her keynote at the Vienna Arbitration Days. Her speech discussed whether artificial intelligence will eliminate the human factor in international arbitration, and how it may transform the decision making in the years to come. Scherer, who is a Professor at the School of International Arbitration at QMUL, and the Director of CCLS in Paris, was also honoured during the GAR Awards held on 12 April in Paris.
