The Insurance, Shipping & Aviation Law Institute (ISALI) was established within a larger research community, the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, which is home to experts in a wide range of areas of specialisation within commercial law. This is what makes our Institute unique. Working alongside CCLS experts in fields such as information technology law, competition law, ethics and corporate governance, dispute resolution law, energy and environmental law, financial law and regulation and law and economics enriches our research in insurance, shipping and aviation, allowing us to apply multiple perspectives towards understanding legal problems and proposing innovative solutions. Students on our programmes can choose from among over 200 LLM modules in different areas of commercial law to supplement their specialist modules in insurance, shipping and aviation, so as to increase the range of knowledge and abilities they can take into their future careers.
