Banking Conduct and Culture: A Call for Sustained and Comprehensive Reform

4 May 2016

Time: 9:30am - 7:00pm
Venue: Clothworkers' Hall, Dunster Court, Mincing Lane, London EC3R 7AH

In July 2015, the Group of Thirty published a Special Report on "Banking Conduct and Culture: A Call for Sustained and Comprehensive Reform". This important Report identifies shortcomings, and also good practice, in promoting and maintaining a strong banking culture, and makes several recommendations for banking industry leaders as they seek to address culture in their banks.

The Institute for Regulation and Ethics of the Centre for Commercial Legal Studies at Queen Mary University of London is pleased to announce the convening of a one-day Conference to discuss and debate key recommendations in the Report. The Conference will consider:

  • The importance of culture in banks
  • The role of law, regulation, supervision and enforcement in banking culture
  • What banks can do to make meaningful cultural reforms

Please join us for a drinks reception after the Conference.
