We envision CCLS providing students with financial help when unexpectedly needed, during their studies in London or Paris. With financial emergency support, we want students to have the peace of mind to be able to continue with their studies and not to have an unanticipated financial burden that could hinder completing their course and becoming the very best lawyers.
Each student brings a unique perspective and life experience, making CCLS a diverse and exciting place to study and network.
In line with our Queen Mary Strategy 2030, we envision CCLS focussing on spotting and supporting raw talent and candidates with the greatest potential to use their studies to make a difference in the world,* such as encouraging policy debates and long needed law reforms. "Dedicated to the public good, [they] will generate new knowledge, challenge existing knowledge, and engage locally, nationally and internationally to create a better world.” **
We envision providing more scholarships for some of the very best young lawyers coming through today to benefit from the unique learning experience that CCLS provides and in turn ensure that CCLS continues to attract other excellent candidates, raising the standard and prestige of CCLS.
So we would be looking for stellar academic results, but also for evidence of engagement with the wider community, when candidates apply.
