She was Chair of the Ryerson University Research Ethics Board, Interim Chair of Criminology, and Interim Graduate Director of the PhD in Policy Studies. She is co-leading the local organizing committee of the International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP6) hosted at Toronto Metropolitan University in June 2023. She is the recipient of the 2018 Canadian Sociological Association (CSA) Outstanding Contribution to the Discipline of Sociology in Canada Award, the 2019 CSA Outstanding Service Award and the 2018 Faculty of Arts Dean’s Service Award.
