Dr Deniz ArzukProgramme Leader (mat cover) MA Sociology of Childhood and Children’s Rights, Researcher of Childhood UCL Social Research Institute, University College London, United Kingdom Email: d.arzuk@ucl.ac.ukProfilePublicationsExpertiseProfileI was awarded both my MA and PhD degrees from Bogazici University Ataturk Institute, then worked as a Swedish Institute and Raoul Wallenberg Institute researcher at the Child Studies Unit at Linköping University in Sweden. I have been based at UCL Social Research Institute since January 2020. Theoretically, I adopt a social justice approach, exploring the relations between injustice/inequality, distinction, exclusion and conceptualisations of childhood, and advancing understandings of these and neoliberalism in the process. Methodologically, I offer historical and sociological insights about lived experiences of childhood and their relationship to cultural artefacts, such as newspapers and literature.ResearchPublicationsArzuk, D.
