Mariëlle Bruning is full Professor of Child Law at Leiden Law School and founder of the Leiden Child Law Department. She is program director of the Dutch LLM Child Law and teaches Child Protection in the LL.M Advanced Studies in International Children’s Rights program. She regularly publishes on youth care, child protection, children in alternative care, child abuse, child participation in legal proceedings and children’s rights issues.
