Simon Lapierre, PhD, is Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Ottawa (Canada). Holder of a doctoral degree from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom), his work has focused on violence against women and children. His work has also investigated policies and practices in domestic violence shelters, in child protection services and in the justice system. He is a founding member of the Feminist Anti-Violence (FemAnVi) Research Collective.
