She is the Programme Leader for the MA Sociology of Childhood and Children’s Rights at UCL. Her current research focuses on memories in childhood and intergenerational relations in Rwanda; the use of arts-based approaches with children and youth project in Indonesia, Nepal, Rwanda and Kyrgyzstan; and the interactions between structural, symbolic and interpersonal violences in the lives of children and youth. She is also interested in the impact of policies and programmes on children’s lives and the relationships between research, policy and practice.
