Eren's main research interest is the impact of digital technologies on human rights, with a focus on artificial intelligence, privacy and personal data protection, surveillance, reputation, harmful speech, and children's digital rights. She has authored the book, The Right to Be Forgotten: A Human Rights Law Perspective and is one of the editors of the three-volume book, Human Rights Case Law: Commentaries on Judge Pinto de Albuquerque’s Selected Opinions and Corresponding ECtHR Judgments (both in Turkish). She has served as a member of the Turkish delegation to the Council of Europe’s Ad Hoc Committee on AI and has worked with Judge Paulo Pinto de Albuquerque at the European Court of Human Rights. Eren holds law degrees from Harvard Law School and Istanbul University Faculty of Law.Research
