His research focuses on children’s rights and child wellbeing. He focuses in particular on the implementation of children’s rights law, child trafficking and other forms of child exploitation, human rights education, and human rights and the social determinants of health. His recent book projects include: co-editing The Oxford Handbook of Children’s Rights Law (Oxford University Press, 2020), and coauthoring Preventing Child Trafficking: A Public Health Approach (Johns Hopkins University Press 2019) and Human Rights in Children’s Literature: Imagination and the Narrative of Law (Oxford University Press, 2016). Professor Todres also serves as a regular advisor to NGOs working to advance the rights and wellbeing of children.
