London City Institute of Technology
The new facility aims to develop new degree apprenticeship pathways into high quality employment in STEM-focussed careers.
In September 2022, the London City Institute of Technology (LCIoT) opened its doors, welcoming its first cohort of degree apprenticeship students. Funded by the Department for Education and Greater London Authority, the LCIoT is our newly renovated education and training facility at London City Island, in partnership with Newham College London.
The LCIoT will focus on providing education and training in the areas of:
- Engineering technologies
- Civil engineering, construction and the built environment
- Transport and logistics technologies
- Green and SMART technologies
- Digital technologies including cyber data, software and network engineering
- Commercial research and development
Our key employer partners for our first intake of students include PwC, Goldman Sachs and KPMG.
Currently Queen Mary has two programmes being taught at LCIoT, with further programmes expected to launch in September 2023.
