The Institute of Dentistry have excellent clinical facilities and a long track record in dental clinical trials, where with our colleagues from Barts and The London NHS Trust, clinical research projects are carried out to the highest ethical and governance standards.
The award winning Blizard Building offers state of the art research facilities for over 300 scientists. The dental hospital building encourages multi-centre interactions and fosters an excellent environment for teaching and research. The Centre for Oral Biometrics in the Dental Institute building is a modern multi-disciplinary facility providing state of the art facilities in biological measurement relating to dentistry, including laser scanning, 3D assessment and reconstructions. The Biophysics and Biomaterials facilities are situated in modern laboratories based at the Mile End campus of QMUL alongside the School of Engineering and Materials Science, and other partners in the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences.
