Melissa Tiskaya, a 2nd PhD student at the Centre for Oral Bioengineering supervised by Prof Robert Hill and Dr Saroash Shahid, won the London Young Persons Lecture Competition hosted by IOM3 on 18/03/21. Her talk was titled “Filling the Gap in Dentistry” in which she gave an overview of her PhD project that focuses on the development of bioactive dental composites that inhibit formation of secondary caries due to polymerisation shrinkage/microleakage and promote remineralisation.
