Profile

Dr Perussolo obtained her DDS at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), Brazil, in 2013. She was awarded a scholarship and held the position of Visitor Student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), United States of America from 2012 to 2013.
She then completed the 2-year Residency program in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry in 2016 and the 2-year Master program in Integrated Dentistry, in 2018, both at the State University of Maringá (UEM), Brazil.
Dr Perussolo has worked as member of the research team in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, headed by Dr Maurício Araújo and she is also completing her PhD at the State University of Maringá (UEM), Brazil.Dr Perussolo won a 1-year Scholarship by the Osteology Foundation and currently she holds the position of Clinical Research Fellow in the Centre for Oral Clinical Research & Centre for Oral Immunobiology and Regenerative Medicine.

Research

Research Interests:

 

Dr Perussolo has dedicated most of her time to clinical research on peri-implant diseases and on the effect of keratinized mucosa around dental implants. In addition, she has conducted pre-clinical studies on bone regeneration, periodontal and peri-implant diseases and biomaterial usage. She has presented her research in national and international meetings such as the ITI National Congress Brazil and European Federation of Periodontology Congress.
