Profile
Neil MacBeth qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1990. After working in clinical practice in Kidderminster, he joined the Royal Air Force in 1992, working as a general duties dentist in the UK and Overseas until 2004. Having obtained Diploma, Membership & Fellowship qualifications with the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and the Royal College of surgeons (UK) during 1996-2004, he underwent consultant training in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital between 2004 and 2009.
He obtained a Master degree in Conservative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Hospital in 2007, graduating with a distinction. He gained his Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008 and is on the GDC specialist list for Restorative Dentistry, prosthodontics and periodontology.
He currently manages the Centre for Restorative Dentistry in Aldershot, which acts as a specialist multidisciplinary referral centre for all three British Military services. The department majors on prosthetic reconstruction and implant dentistry.
He is an honorary consultant in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital, a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary’s University of London and lectures regularly for Manchester University, the Peninsular Dental School and the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.
He is currently undertaking a PhD programme, examining the effects of alveolar ridge preservation and socket grafting procedures on implant outcomes.
