Profile

I started my career in general dental practice and community dental services after qualifying in 1992. Thereafter, I started teaching at the Eastman Dental hospital and currently hold the position of Deputy Principal on the dental hygiene and therapy programme at the Bart's and The London. I also continue to work in general practice.

I am an internal and external examiner for both dental hygiene and therapy programmes. I am also a DCP inspector with the GDC

I am the ex- Chair and current President of the British Dental Therapy Association. I represent DCPs on a number of boards and working groups at various levels within the profession, including the All Party Parliamentary Group for Dentistry where I regularly meet with Members of Parliament.

I work closely with The Department of Health on a number of key projects, including the Prevention Toolkit and the Dental Skills Mix working group.

Resorative and Preventive Dentistry, Smoking Cessation and Dentine Hypersensitivity.
