Mrs Lisa Groarke

Profile

Mrs Groarke has been within the dental profession since 1986, where she has gained extensive knowledge of Dentistry which has given her a vast amount of clinical experience within the NHS and private sector.

During this time Mrs Groarke career has predominantly been within Maxillo facial, Oral surgery, Orthodontics, Orthognathic surgery and has worked within a few of the London hospitals; The Whittington Highgate, Edgware General Hospital and the Central Middlesex Hospital as a Specialist nurse.

In 2004, Mrs Groarke qualified as a Dental nurse and completed her training at The Eastman Dental Hospital, while working as a Specialist Dental Nurse within the Maxillo-facial department at Barnet Hospital.

In June 2014, Mrs Groarke joined ECIC (Eastman Clinical Investigation Centre). Where she held the role of a Research Dental Nurse working with clinical and non- clinical trials.Mrs Groarke is able to assist clinicians with clinical procedures ranging from intra-oral sample collection, blood samples (Phlebotomy), non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapies and organises the recruitment of patients according to ethical guidance.

In November 2015, Mrs Groarke joined the Centre for Oral Clinical Research as Senior Research Nurse.  At present Mrs Groarke role within COCR is to bring the NHS hospital and clinical Governance together with Research governance and apply those clinical standards and working practices relevant to COCR.

Mrs Groarke is able to assist the PI and facilities Manager with budget management, identifying potential funding opportunities and contributing to the development of associated grant applications.

Mrs Groarke has recently attended the Mental Health First Aid Course and has recently completed the ILM2 course.
