Why do a PhD?
The primary reason I aspire to pursue a PhD is to immerse myself in a more intellectually stimulating academic environment, allowing me to delve deeply into cutting-edge issues. At DERI, I will not only have the opportunity to collaborate with distinguished scholars in the field but also gain a more international perspective. Through my PhD journey, I aim to explore a richer expanse of knowledge and viewpoints while also engaging in self-reflection. This will enable me to recharge, enhance my depth of thinking, and improve my problem-solving abilities.

What are you researching and what led you work in this field of research?
My research interest is computer vision, especially video understanding and motion generation. Through my undergraduate and graduate studies, I have gradually shifted from digital media to computer vision. I have witnessed the rapid development of computer vision powered by deep learning. Subsequently, in the industry, I have seen the immense application potential of computer vision, which has fuelled my interest and expectations for this research field.

What is it like studying at DERI in East London?
