Lead by Professor Greg Slabaugh, Director of the Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI) and Professor of Computer Vision and AI, Queen Mary University of London has received funds from the UK Government aimed at future leaders in AI.
The AI Futures Grant, funded by the UK Government is designed to attract talented AI experts to join the UK’s thriving AI ecosystem, and will provide support with essential relocation costs to enable them to take up positions.
Awards will provide successful applicants with financial support to reimburse relocation costs, including costs of a visa, the immigration health surcharge, travel and subsistence costs, transportation of belongings, and acquisition of a new residence in the UK. Successful candidates for roles funded through the award are eligible to get up to £10,000 to meet relocation costs, subject to the terms and conditions.
