The Digital Education Studio is a flagship initiative in our drive to become 'the most inclusive university of its kind, anywhere’ by making higher education more accessible, particularly to people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study at a university. Since our founding we’ve been at the forefront of medical education, training the next generation of health professionals ready to solve global health issues. We are rooted in the unrivalled ethnic diversity of east London and work vigorously to provide learning opportunities to all, particularly within our local community. Digital Education is a vital new frontier of this mission, especially in the post-pandemic and post-digital world of today.
Digital education aligns with the social justice ethos of Queen Mary. Our primary aim is to broaden access to education, especially to students of diverse backgrounds who are most often under-represented in higher education. We want to help create the next generation of doctors, dentists and health professionals, ready to tackle the global health problems in a post-pandemic and post-digital world. — Professor Chie Adachi, Dean For Digital Education (FMD)
