Case Study: Mindfulness in VR

Gian Paulo Canale - Institute of Health Sciences Education

Medical students usually report levels of stress, especially during exam and results season. The Learning Innovation Team and the Student Support Office collaborated to utilise virtual reality to support students’ wellbeing by offering virtual guided meditations for mindfulness.

The project uses the application TRIPP, a platform that offers guided meditation and mindfulness experiences through virtual reality (VR) and mobile applications. It features a variety of content designed to improve focus, calmness, and sleep quality, utilizing breathing exercises, meditation guides, and immersive VR environments.
