Profile

Nikki is a member of the Doctoral College Team and also has a close working relationship with JRMO. She is responsible for the portfolio of UKRI funded Doctoral Training Partnerships and Centres for Doctoral Training Grants.

Nikki also provides comprehensive post-award financial management and administrative support to ensure that researchers and departmental administrations receive prompt advice and efficient service, from the point of grant agreement and grant set up, to financial monitoring/reporting, management of financial budgets, final claim, project reconciliation, closure and preparation for any internal and external audits.

 Key Functions: 

• Post award administrative and financial management of a portfolio of Doctoral Training Grants grants, where the university is either a coordinator or partner
• To monitor income and expenditure on large UKRI grants for postgraduate research funding
• submission of interim and final expenditure statements in close liaison with the grant holders.
• Support academics and faculty/department administrators in planning and preparation of budget plans and provide guidance in the eligibility of expenditure in relation to Doctoral Training regulations and budgetary spend.
