WISE@QMUL will be running a workshop next month aimed at PhDs and Early Career Researchers (ECRs), centred around the topic of balancing caring responsibilities and a PhD or academic career. Please find all the details below and share with anyone who may be interested!
Come and meet other early career researchers and PhD students who are parents or thinking about starting a family. This will be an informal facilitated session covering some of the challenges of balancing family and career. In the morning workshop (10:30 - 12:30), we will be thinking about what is important to you, creating support structures and networks and what changes you want to make.
Lunch is provided. After lunch (13:00- 14:00) we will have a drop-in session with representatives from HR and the Doctoral College where you can find out about the support offered at QMUL.
Please get tickets via the link below. Please note that capacity for the morning workshop is limited to 30 due to space. Tickets are not required for the networking lunch and afternoon advice clinic. While the session was designed for PhDs/ECRs, this event is open to all!
