You can access a wide range of information for researchers, including guidance on referencing and avoiding plagiarism, on the Library webpages. Most workshops offered by the Library are available to book through the CPD booking system. The Library also offers one-to-one support on developing academic skills, such as writing, presenting and reading effectively.

If you are interested in getting involved in public engagement activities, the Centre for Public Engagement runs a range of internal training sessions to help.
PGRs registering from the beginning of the academic year 2022/23 need to undertake the centralised research integrity training, which is provided online by Epigeum.
Students are required to complete the Research Integrity Core course, which consists of 8 individual modules.

You will then be able to access the programme(s) by logging into https://courses.epigeum.com/login using your chosen username and password.
Doctoral students should complete the ‘Research Integrity: Core’ course (modules 1 through to 8).
The Doctoral College will produce a monthly list of those in each school who have undertaken the training and make this available to PGR teams in schools.
Students who have completed the training will see this added to their Skills Points records by the end of each month.
All Queen Mary doctoral students have free access to the comprehensive Social Sciences research methods training offered by LISS DTP. LAHP also offers free research training for the Arts & Humanities. Book early as both the LISS and LAHP DTP training courses are very popular.
The Research Design Service supports the planning and application process for health and biomedical research for several London higher education institutions. This service sometimes runs local workshops and consultation surgeries.
The Health and Safety Directorate supports occupational health and safety training, including several courses on laboratory and research safety issues.
