Profile

Dr. Guo is a lecturer in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London. She holds a PhD in business informatics from the Informatics Research Centre of the University of Reading and an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before transitioning to academia, she amassed over 15 years of experience in the ICT industry, where she worked in various capacities and gained extensive knowledge in leveraging technology for strategic purposes across diverse business sectors. Claria’s research interests primarily revolve around the field of pervasive informatics, which is at the forefront of driving innovation in the design and development of computing systems and devices. Pervasive informatics aims to seamlessly integrate technology into everyday life, making it more accessible and intuitive for users. By focusing on this field, Dr. Guo contributes to advancing the understanding and application of pervasive computing, exploring how it can enhance human experiences, improve efficiency, and solve real-world problems. Her expertise in business informatics, combined with her industry experience, informs her research and enables her to explore the practical implications and societal impact of pervasive informatics.
